Obituary for Archie F Davis Jr.
Archie Fuller Davis, Jr., age 82 went to live with the Lord on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the University of MD Medical Center.
Born January 5, 1940 in Gaither, MD , son of the late Archie Fuller Davis, Sr. and the late Bessie E. Tucker Davis. He was one of nine children.
He attended Sykesville High School, Loved outdoor work, worked at several landscaping jobs prior to working at Bethesda Country club for 57 years until his retirement in 2010.
Married to Frances M. Davis (nee Byrd) for 60 years, having 4 children; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Archie F. Davis, III, of Union Bridge, He also parented multiple other young people throughout his marriage.
Archie loved going to bluegrass festivals, recording and listening to his large music collection and watching DVD’s. He enjoyed working on his lawn, and on cars in his younger years, as well as making home improvements on his home.

Airy, Daughter-in-laws Mary Davis, Tess Davis and Laurie Davis, Grandchildren: Heather Pane; Noah Norris; Betty Hatfield; Gilbert Hatfield; Michael Hatfield, Ashley Davis, Ivy Davis; Sadie and husband Josh Herts; Lane Davis.
