Obituary for Audrey Watson (Fugitt)

Audrey Eleanor Fugitt Watson was born 28 July 1927 and died 9 October 2020. On a gravestone might be written 1927-2020. Here is the story of the dash – her life.
The first twenty years or so were spent in Barberton, Ohio with her parents, Harry and Florence, and her younger brother, Bill, and sister, Harriet. (Pictures 1, 2, and 3)
She then spent her 20s getting an undergraduate and graduate degree, starting teaching as a career, and exploring the world as an adult. (Pictures 4 and 5)
She married Joseph Glenn Watson and embarked on life’s next grand adventure. (Pictures 6 and 7)
Jeffrey and Kimberly came along and added to the adventure as Audrey became a mother, too. (Picture 8)
She continued to teach elementary school children, retiring at 60. (Picture 9)
She then volunteered at the Baltimore County Public Library for 25 years. (Picture 10)
During these years, she became a grandmother to Sara, Kristen, Ellen, Lauren and Jerome, then great-grandmother to Ronnie, Joshua, Shoshannah, Risa and Lucy. (Picture 11)
She grew up beautiful and talented, learned to be knowledgeable and dedicated, persevered over time to become wise and gracious, welcoming and loving, looking to help all her family and friends. She taught her family how to love, that to love is to do, and that love is caring in action.
She is missed.
