Obituary for Betty Lee Fullerton (Fleming)
Betty Lee Fullerton (nee Fleming), 81 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home.
She was the wife of the late William R. Fullerton.
She was born March 16, 1940 at University Hospital in Baltimore, MD; the daughter of the late Gaver Edward Fleming and the late Julia Marie Fleming (nee Speis).
Betty had various occupations; she served 1st librarian at Mt. Airy Community Library: Health Unlimited desk Clerk, an office administrator and as a waitress/hostess. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She liked attending Mt. Airy High School class reunions, and Starbucks coffee, and OWLS senior groups at Ebenezer Church. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church; and helped with Sunday school, Vacation Bible school and Children’s Church. Betty enjoyed volunteering with the Mt. Airy Youth Athletic Association (MAYAA) and in her daughter’s & granddaughter’s classrooms at Winfield Elementary School.
She was the loving mother of Joanne Lee Davis & husband Steve of Mt. Airy, MD, stepdaughter Judi Davis of FL. Devoted grandmother of Julie Swartz & husband Craig of New Market, MD and Heidi Francella & husband Joe of Baltimore, MD.
Predeceased by her stepchildren Linda Rhodes & Larry Grimes.
