Obituary for Carolyn Blanche Lawton (Biser)
Carolyn Blanche Lawton, 76 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Carroll Hospice in Westminster, MD.
She was the beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Lee Lawton.
Mrs. Lawton was born February 25, 1944 in Oakland, MD, the daughter of the late Kenneth Biser & the late Rachel Biser (Dawson).
Carolyn worked 14 years in Prince Georges County Public Schools & 27 years in Carroll County Public Schools. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi 1971-present, Four County quilt Guild. She enjoyed helping with crafts at Vacation Bible School, loved crafts, machine embroidery, making quilts especially for project Linus (as of 2014, 83 were made).
Loving mother of Daniel Lee and wife Kristin Lynn Lawton of Taylorsville. Dearest grandmother of Kendall Lynn Lawton and Cole Thomas Lawton. Also survived by her siblings Wayne Biser & wife Geraldine, Betty Wilburn, Clifton Biser & wife Charlotte, and sister-in-law Edith Biser.
She was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Biser.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1-2 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784. Celebration of life service at 2 PM at the funeral home. Social distancing and mask must be worn.
Inurnment at a later date in Eglon Cemetery Eglon, WV.
