I have known Dolle since the 90’s. We had so much fun together, attending the Baltimore opera, Baltimore symphony orchestra and numerous plays. She was a very proud momma of her two girls. Nobody loved their dogs like she did. She called them her old ladies . I am so glad I got to see her over Christmas. I brought chewy along and she especially enjoyed seeing him. I am so sad to hear she is gone. I treasured our friendship. My condolences to Coleen and Lanette.

Dolle was my 8th grade Algebra teacher. She and I were almost the same height, so of course I took to her immediately. I started calling her on her birthdays, and writing her letters, which she answered. As I entered adulthood, the friendship grew. We saw each other through our pregnancies and she greatly blessed me with everything a new mama needed for a first baby. Dolle was a mentor, a friend, a confidant. She was always good to me. I am the richer for having known her.

Our family first came in contact with the Browns in 1986, 87 in Ocean City, MD when Colleen joined the cast of Music Man at the Carousel Summer Theater and then both Colleen and Lynette were townsfolk in Pied Piper at the Parker Playhouse. But theirs became more that just cast member friendships which can develop in theater, it became a true life long friendship, especially with our oldest daughter Jennifer With fond memories we think back to the little trailer in OC back on 28th street (or close to there) and the wonderful hospitality of spending a night or two at their home when our family was on tour with our children's theater. When our daughter Jennifer began her career on Broadway, Dolle, Lynette and Colleen took the roller coaster ride with her. But we will be most thankful to Dolle for the wonderful support at Christmas time she showed to our youngest daughter Becky. For a number of years-those which were a struggle for Becky- Dolle remembered her with a card and a financial gift so that Becky could make sure her children had the best Christmas available. We were so happy we could pay one last visit on Sunday, June 9th. Rest in peace, dear Dolle.
