Grace Elizabeth Garver 84 of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022. She was the spouse for over 50 years of the deceased James Junior Garver. She was born October 1, 1938, in Frederick County MD, the daughter of Arthur and Florence Brandenburg. For approximately 50 years, Grace was the owner and operator of Deb Renee Beauty Salon. She was retired from Carroll County Public Schools working to support the Mt. Airy Middle School cafeteria. She provided supported and volunteered for the Mt. Airy Sparklers Majorette Corp and the Carroll County Cancer Center. She was the first of the Brandenburg family to graduate from Frederick High School. Surviving is her daughter Deborah Renee (Garver) Miller of New Windsor. Her grandchildren are Jessica Marie (Garver) Sigler and husband Benny Sigler, Crystal Leann Connelly, Rodney Lee Connelly, Jr. Her Great-Grandchildren are James Joseph Connelly, Grace Elizabeth Sigler, Joseph Nicholas Vizcaino, and RaeLyn Jade Connelly. Predeceased by her brother Paul Brandenburg and Leah Martin. Her surviving siblings are Harold Brandenburg, Charles Brandenburg, Virginia Axline, and Carol Norris. Supporting her with daily tasks as need was Steven Carter Ripa of New Windsor MD. Predeceased was her best friend Mitzie in September 2022.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at which time funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM, at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Interment to follow Taylorsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
