Gwendolyn J. Smith (nee Griese), 71 of Sykesville, MD passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 in Westminster, MD.
She was the beloved wife of the late Cary Smith.
She was born in Baltimore, MD the daughter of Jean Griese (nee Shoemaker) and the late Harry G. Griese, Jr.
She was a volunteer at the Bishops Chapel at Fairhaven in Sykesville, MD and was very involved with many different activities at Fairhaven.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her son Todd Smith & wife Cindy, her brother Henry Griese III & wife Pam and her sister Carla Meushaw & husband John. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11 A.M. at The Chapel at Fairhaven 7200 3rd Ave, Sykesville, MD 21784. There will be a reception across from the Chapel immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Carroll Hospice/Dove House 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, Md 21157 or to the Bishop Chapel at Fairhaven 7200 3rd Ave. Sykesville, MD 21784.
