Obituary for Harry E Potts
Harry E. Potts, 91 of Timonium, MD and formerly of Owings Mills, MD passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
He was the husband of the late Shirley Witzen Potts (nee Price) and the late Patricia Lewis Potts.
Harry was born September 5, 1931, in Waynesboro, PA the son of the late Leonard L. Potts and the late Verda L. Ermine (nee Miley)
He was a Korean war Veteran, serving as a Sargent in the United States Army. Harry was the Baltimore District manager for Home Mutual Insurance now known as Baltimore Life Insurance company. He enjoyed traveling, music gardening and spending time with his family was the highlight of his life.
Devoted father of Sherry Kemp & husband Don, loving stepfather of Chere Witzen, Selina Brandenburg, Charles Witzen, Jr., and Kirk Witzen. Dear grandfather of Robert B. Kemp & wife Lauren, Craig P. Kemp & Amy, and cherished Dada of 5 great-grandchildren Jacob, Graci, Katie, Zach and Elly.
Also predeceased by his brothers Lenard Potts and Larry Ermine.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2-5 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11 AM.
Interment at Garrison Forest Cemetery.
