Heather is the mother of my step-daughter. We had a special, wonderful and rare relationship that i cherished deeply. I will miss her dearly and i will do my absolute best to continue raising her along side her father, into the woman Heather wanted her to be.

I am heartbroken to have lost Heather, one of my practicum interns from McDaniel College. Heather was such an enthusiastic learner and loved to observe the way her mentors taught students so that she could become a biology teacher in the near future. I was helping her with her writing because she expressed to me that she wanted to improve. She would send me her reflections and ask for me to give her feedback. She improved with every piece she wrote.
I marveled at how she was able to do so much with her children, her assignments, and her practicum one day a week. She was a remarkable woman who was a blessing to those who knew her.
