James Russell Higgs, 94 of Windsor Mill, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of Norma Jean Higgs (nee Farmer) for 74 yrs. Loving father of Gary Higgs, Craig Higgs, and wife Alice. Grandchildren: Amy McVicker and husband Tom McVicker, Nicole Markle and Husband Kevin Markle, Bridget Cutair and husband Mark Cutair, Patrick Walsh-Higgs and wife Dana, and Danny Higgs. 16 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great grandchildren and one pre-deceased great great-grandson Arron McVicker
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 7-9 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School), the family ask that you dress Casual for the viewing. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11 AM at Granite Presbyterian Church 10637 Old Court Rd, Woodstock, MD 21163.
Interment at Granite Presbyterian Cemetery.
