Obituary for Jeffrey Thomas Rizzo
Jeffrey “Jeff” Thomas Rizzo, age 43, of Sykesville, MD passed away suddenly on Thursday July 8, 2021, at his home. He was born December 13, 1977, in Cheverly, MD, the son of John Rizzo and Stephanie Klara.
In 2017 Jeff achieved his career goal as a professional firefighter/paramedic and proudly served with Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (VA). He also worked part-time at Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company (2017-2019), Sykesville Freedom District Fire (2015-2019), and volunteered his time at West Friendship Fire Department (2010-2021). Jeff enjoyed going to music concerts, car shows, NASCAR races, and playing softball with the Loudoun 40+ Old n Busted and Mid-Atlantic Fire 40+ softball teams. But most of all, Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jeff will be forever cherished by his family, his loving wife Jaime Spinella, and their son Rocco (at home); his son Kyle Rizzo of Westminster, MD; Father John Rizzo and wife MaryLu of Catonsville, MD; and Mother, Stephanie Klara and husband Tom of Westminster MD. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis S. Rizzo and Margaret Rizzo and Thomas Rice and Elizabeth Rice.
Services have been entrusted to Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville MD., 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) with a viewing to be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Memorial services will be held on Saturday July 17, 2021, at 10:00am at Cornerstone Chapel, 650 Battlefield Parkway, SE, Leesburg VA 20175 with a procession to Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD for his interment.
