Joseph Lee Boston, 93 died Friday, August 7th, 2020 at Sinai Hospital after a long illness due to complications of advanced neurodegenerative disease. The son of George and Rosie (White) Boston he was raised in Baltimore where he graduated from Douglass High School and Morgan State College. He completed a tour of duty in the U.S. Army and then worked many years at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He transferred to the Social Security Administration where he worked until his retirement in the 1980’s
He married Lili B. Sturgis in 1955 in a union that produced four off-spring; Jose’, Juan, the late Maya and Maria. In addition Joseph had multiple hobbies. He was an avid semi-professional tennis player (winning several awards and achieved a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. He was a long -time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and finished his life a member of New All Saints Church. In addition to his 2 sons and daughter Joseph is survived by his brother Tony, sisters Yvonne and Sherrill, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
