Obituary for Knud Harbom
Knud Christian Harbom of Marriottsville, Maryland, passed away on June 6th, 2022 at the age of seventy from natural causes.
Knud was the son of Karen M. Harbom and Knud J. Harbom. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on August 17th, 1951. He graduated from the University of Copenhagen with a master's degree in economics and spent a year serving in the Danish Airforce. In the 1970’s he immigrated to the United States where he ran the family business, Plastmo Ltd.
Knud was a dedicated family man, a dog lover, railway enthusiast, and enjoyed hiking in Maryland’s Patapsco State Park.
He is survived by his wife Helene Harbom, his daughter Anna Harbom, and his four grandchildren, Axel, Matias, Mia, and Oliver. He was predeceased by his son, Christian Harbom.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 1pm at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9250E Damascus Rd, Damascus, MD 20872. The Funeral will be followed by a memorial at Knud’s home at 12244, Woodford Drive, Marriottsville, Maryland. All are invited to attend.
