Obituary for M. Lorraine Simons (Ament)
Mary Lorraine Ament Simons, 95 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Lighthouse Senior Living in Ellicott City.
She was the loving wife of the late James Perry Simons for 56 years.
She was born October 5, 1923 in Ellicott City, MD the daughter of the late Louis Ament and the late Edna Ament (nee Lauman).
She was a housewife and helped with Farming. Mary Truly loved life to the fullest, she loved traveling, bus trips with her friends and attending the Owls club. She was a lifetime Eastern Star member and enjoyed going and being a member at Taylorsville United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her daughter Cora LaRue White; son James Louis Simons and wife Millie. Also survived by her grandchildren Robert Curtis White and fiancé Robin Keiner, Brenda Johnson and husband Ray, Maresa Haller and husband David, Lorene Cannella and James Simons, Jr. and wife Sandy; 8 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sibling Luis Ament, Delia Zimmerman, and Helen Web; and her son-in-law Harvey Robert White and great-grandchild Josh Picarella.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11 AM
