Mary E. Laur, 91 of Sykesville formerly of Catonsville . Passed on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Westminster, MD.
She was born July 10, 1929 in Frederick, MD the daughter of the late Adolphus A. and Lillian (Taylor) Anderson.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Laur, Sr. with whom she was married to for 68 years. Mrs. Laur was heavIly involved at Bishop Cummins Church in Catonsville, where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She also enjoyed Photography.
Beloved Mother of the late Lillian Suzanne & Larry Groat, Brooklyn, MD, Robert T. Laur, Jr. & Sue of Lewes, DE, Michael D. Laur & Edie of Westminster, and William A. Laur & Janelle of Ellicott City. Also survived by grandchildren Ricky, Jeannie and husband Joe, Rob & wife Tracy, Jesse & wife Alicia, Troy & wife Katie, Erin & husband Dave, Brooke & husband Ashley, Melissa & husband Jeremy, Mitchell, Lilly and 24 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters Ruth Smith and Flora Mae Hamshey. Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen’s Reformed Episcopal Church 2275 Liberty Rd.
