Obituary for Nancy Kay Stettmeier (Cook)

Nancy Kay Stettmeier, age 79, from Westminster/Ocean City, MD died peacefully, Tuesday October 18, 2022, at The Dove House-Bridging Life.

She was born June 17, 1943, in Baltimore, MD.; Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ken Stettmeier.

While her kids were growing up, she drove a school bus for various Bus Operators. She took her outgoing personality and gift of gab to Ocean City and drove the Trolley while her children were working there for the summers. Along with her husband they owned and operated a Nascar Race Tour Company named Race Fever Tours. For retirement, their mutual love of the water took them to Ocean City to enjoy the boating life and just relaxing while living on the water. She was an avid dog rescuer with the adoption of four labs from Lab Rescue LRCP.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Kay Cook and granddaughter Nichole Laufert, RN. Surviving are her daughters Kim Schulte and her husband Ron of Street MD, and their two children Craig and Cody, her daughter Kandi Laufert and her husband Tony of Myrtle Beach SC and their son Kyle, her son Howard Kenneth Stettmeier III and his family. Nancy had one great granddaughter, Oliva.
