Nancy May Moss (nee Penn), 92, of Manchester, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.
She was born April 30, 1930, in Frederick, MD was the daughter of the late Milton G. Penn and the late Hazel E. Penn (nee Warfield)
Nancy was the beloved wife of the late William Edward Moss.
She was a clerk at Montgomery Wards in Baltimore, a farmer’s wife, caring mother of four and a laundry assistant at Heritage Hall Nursing home for 19 years in Tazewell, VA; before relocating and then caring for her ailing husband. She was always a hard worker.
She is survived by her daughter Sallie Moss of Manchester; brother Thomas Penn of New Freedom, PA; son-in-law Roger William Tabler, Sr. of Mt. Airy; grandchildren Roger Tabler, Jr & wife Becky of Manchester, Andy Tabler & wife Dee of Frederick, Sara & Oliver Valenzuela of New Market, Katy & Matt Finnell of Mt. Airy. Great-grandmother of Roger Tabler, III of Manchester, Rachel & Wes Turner of Littlestown, PA, Owen, Wyatt & Eva Valenzuela of New Market, and Rory & Harper Finnell of Mt. Airy. Great-great grandmother of Charlie & Marcy Turner and several nieces & nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Billie Tabler of Taylorsville, sons Peery Moss of Tazewell, VA, and Clinton Moss of Manchester.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM-12:00 noon at which time the funeral service will begin at 12:00 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School)., with Pastor James E. Skillington officiating.
Interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery Mt. Airy, MD.
