Obituary for Susan Jacquelin Bahorich

Susan Jacquelin Bahorich, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away on July 8 after a hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer.

Susan was born in Santa Monica, California, on July 11, 1975, but spent most of her years in Westminster, Maryland. She was the daughter of Paula E. (Kircher) and the late Joseph J. Bahorich. She graduated from Towson University with a degree in Mass Communications and recently received her Master’s in Strategic Communications from Purdue University while undergoing chemotherapy. Susan was the Communications Advisor at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, after a successful 20-year career in broadcasting.

Susan loved life, adventure, and travelling, but most of all spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved Golden, Gracie.

In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her brother, Brian M. Bahorich, sister Jessica M. Bahorich, niece Isabella Q. Bahorich, godson and nephew Ryker J. Bahorich, godmother and aunt Mary Jean Forry (Kircher) and husband Steven, uncle P. Joseph Kircher and wife Victoria, uncle the late John A. Kircher and wife Patricia, five loving cousins, and so many friends. Susan will be so deeply missed by all those that knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 13, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 West Old Liberty Road, Winfield, Maryland, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a reception hosted by the family.
