Obituary for William Henry "Bill" Carver

William “Bill” Henry Carver, 83 of Sykesville, MD formerly of Ellicott City, MD passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of Nancy Lee Carver for 59 years.
Bill was born December 24, 1939, in Carlsbad, NM, the son of the late Henry Lucian Carver and Volna Lee Carver (nee Harris).
After graduation Bill Joined the United States Air Force and was an Airman Third Class. Bill had a long career as an electrical engineer and as a telecommunication specialist with General Dynamics, Lucent Technologies, AT&T, C&P Telephone and Westinghouse. In his spare time, he enjoyed Smallbore Benchrest rifle shooting, reading the Sunday comics and spending time tinkering and creating new and innovative things with electronics.
Bill was a family man first and loved spending time with his family and teaching them practical life skills. He was known by many to be a great handy man and someone to call to solve any problem.
Surviving in addition to his wife are, his two sons William Thomas Carver & wife Shawne Davida Carver and children Pierce Ryan Carver & Elise Renay Carver; and his other son Benedict Lucian Carver & wife Jennifer Elizabeth Carver and children Emily Elizabeth Carver and Allison Lee Carver. Also survived by his brother Joe Carver.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School); with Funeral Service starting at 12:30 PM.
