Obituary for William R. "Randy" Sturgeon
William R. “Randy” Sturgeon, 78 of New Windsor, Md passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Randy was the beloved husband of Carol Sturgeon for 60 years.
He was born August 20, 1944, in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Carroll T. Sturgeon, Sr. and the late Mary Gertrude Sturgeon (nee Sims).
Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, gaming, and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Kim Ravenscroft and husband Keith and Cheryl Wheeler and husband Kerry; Grandfather of Michael Ravenscroft, Brandon Ravenscroft and significant other Sam and her daughter Haleigh, Chad Wheeler, Devin Wheeler and wife Karleigh and Melvin Smith; great-grandfather of Myla, Macy, and Preston.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Carroll Sturgeon, Jr and Glen Sturgeon.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM with service to follow at 12:30 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Interment Meadow Branch Cemetery Westminster, MD.
